The specially trained pediatric therapists at Hendrick Center for Rehabilitation are dedicated to improving and enhancing your child's ability to participate in day-to-day activities in his or her school, community and home. Our therapists assist with learning to walk, crawl and jump, in order to better participate with peers or family in everyday play. Therapists also work with companies to fit your child with wheelchairs, walkers and other mobility aids.
Our pediatric rehabilitation team includes a pediatric pelvic floor physical therapist, trained to work with children who suffer with urinary and/or fecal incontinence
To meet the needs of the children in our region, Hendrick Center for Rehabilitation has expanded its pediatric therapy program with the opening of the Pediatric Therapy Gym in late 2019. The Pediatric Therapy Gym was specially designed for children to receive physical, speech and occupational therapies in a fun, kid-friendly environment.
The 4,170 square-foot freestanding facility is located directly behind Hendrick Center for Rehabilitation and includes:
The Pediatric Therapy Gym was made possible by the generous donations from Children's Miracle Network Hospitals and the Play 4 Rex Foundation.
The pediatric playground was opened late 2011. Rehab therapists and patients of all ages have enjoyed this special place for healing. While "playing," patients receive occupational, speech and physical therapy to develop, improve or regain essential skills and motor functions for daily life.
