Hendrick Mission and Ministry

Spiritual and religious needs often play an important role in our lives and in our healing. This is especially true in healthcare.

The Mission and Ministry team can offer spiritual support during times of crisis, confusion or even in times of joyfulness. Central to spiritual care is respect for all individuals, an acceptance of how vast the human experience can be and the delivery of compassion.

Our chaplains respond to needs by offering comfort through meaningful presence or conversation. Additionally, we work closely with our healthcare teams to identify or enhance the spiritual, religious or emotional needs of our patients and their families.

The Mission and Ministry Department is committed to the comprehensive effort to individuals during any stage of their healthcare journey.

Hendrick Health began with the vision of a minister and his church in Abilene. This commitment was to express the kind of care that Jesus showed during his earthly ministry continues to a key focus of our identity.

If you would like spiritual or emotional support, we have chaplains available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. To speak with a chaplain, please call:
