Hendrick Home Health allows healthcare providers to come to your home and provide services such as nursing care, specialized therapy, and personal care. We strive to keep families together by helping individuals recover in the comfort and security of their own homes. Hendrick Home Health is a department of Hendrick Medical Center and is accredited by The Joint Commission.

Conditions Treated

  • Wounds - A type of injury in which the skin is torn, cut, punctured, or where blunt force trauma causes a contusion.
  • Congestive heart failure - Heart failure is a serious illness in which the heart does not pump blood through your body as well as it should.
  • Diabetes - A condition that occurs when glucose (sugar) builds up in the blood.
  • Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) - Lung disease that blocks airflow as you exhale and makes it difficult to breathe.
  • Hypertension - Medical condition in which the blood pressure in the arteries is chronically elevated.
  • Cancer - A group of diseases in which abnormal cells grow out of control.
  • Post-Surgery - Management and care after surgery.

Our Services

  • Skilled nursing (RNs and LVNs) - Nurses provide a patient assessment and work closely with the physician to formulate a personalized plan of care for the patient’s individualized needs. They perform physical assessments, procedures, and treatments in the home.
  • Physical therapy - Therapists perform rehabilitative treatment to restore the patient to his or her maximum level of physical capabilities.
  • Occupational therapy - Occupational therapy provides activities designed to improve physical and psychosocial functioning.
  • Speech therapy - Speech therapy involves treatment for communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Medical social worker - Medical/Social services are provided to help the patient and family adjusts to illness and/or treatments and to facilitate referrals to community resources as appropriate.
  • Home health aides - Our home health aides are Certified Nurse Assistants and work under the direction of a registered nurse. The home health aide can perform personal care, i.e., bathing, nail care and can attend to light housekeeping.
