Hendrick Health celebrates opening of new Hendrick Body and Wellness service line

Hendrick Health celebrated the opening of Hendrick Body and Wellness, a physician-led bariatric surgery and medical weight-loss clinic, on Wednesday, January 15, 2025.

Hendrick is now able to offer patients a full range of weight-loss services, including surgery, nutrition counseling and medication alternatives.

“We are very proud to open Hendrick Body and Wellness to assist individuals in our communities in their journeys to good health,” said Susan Greenwood, vice president and chief nursing officer at Hendrick Health. “We offer safe and effective weight-loss solutions, empowering patients to improve their overall well-being. Our team of experts assists patients in building their health and their confidence as they meet their weight-loss needs.”

The Hendrick Body and Wellness team includes a fellowship-trained bariatric surgeon, obesity medicine providers and registered dietitians who specialize in weight loss. Each patient will have an individualized plan designed especially for them.

A state-of-the-art body composition machine provides patients with a more comprehensive picture of their overall body mass, which will guide clinical recommendations. Nutritional counseling and support will be offered from trained registered dietitians. In addition, patients will have the opportunity to engage in support groups, healthy cooking demonstrations and other seasonal events.

An existing office building was renovated inside and out and transformed into the new Hendrick Body and Wellness facility.
