Hendrick Health honors organ donors and their families with flag raising ceremonies in April

Hendrick Health is honoring organ donors and their families in April with flag raising ceremonies at all three hospital campuses. April is National Donate Life Month.

In partnership with Southwest Transplant Alliance, the ceremonies are being hosted on:

• Monday, April 14, 2025, 11 a.m., Hendrick Medical Center main entrance
• Wednesday, April 16, 2025, 11:30 a.m., Hendrick Medical Center Brownwood main entrance
• Tuesday, April 22, 2025, 11 a.m., Hendrick Medical Center South main entrance

Every nine minutes, a person is added to the national transplant waiting list, while 17 die each day waiting for an organ. In 2024, 13 organ donors from Hendrick Health saved 43 lives and provided tissue donations for another 21 individuals.
