Free seminar offers help for those coping with grief during the holidays, Nov. 12

Hendrick Hospice Care and Elmwood Memorial Park and Funeral Home are offering an opportunity to learn about healing during the holidays at Grief in the Holidays: A Workshop on Navigating Loss in the Holiday Season.
“The holidays are often seen as a magical time when all is merry and bright,” said Adrianna Golden-Smith, bereavement coordinator, Hendrick Hospice Care. “But what if we don’t feel so merry? What are the holidays without our loved ones? This seminar can help.”
The seminar is Saturday, Nov. 12 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Davis Bereavement Center at Hendrick Hospice Care Center, 1651 Pine Street.
Seminar topics include:
- Managing difficult emotions and holiday demands
- Honoring our loved ones
- Taking care of ourselves
- Finding hope and healing
