Hendrick Health welcomes Jose Velasco, MD

Hendrick Health is proud to welcome Jose Velasco, MD, to the hematology and oncology team. Dr. Velasco was fellowship trained in hematology, oncology, hospice and palliative medicine at the Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, Michigan.
"Cancer can be a devastating illness, and my goal is prevention through education and early detection. I want to be someone patients can rely on throughout their journey," said Dr. Velasco.
He is board certified in medical oncology, hematology, internal medicine, hospice and palliative medicine. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
Dr. Velasco and his wife Johanna are happy to be in Abilene because of the friendly and thriving community.
