Hendrick Health names Courtney Head vice president of human resources

Hendrick Health is pleased to announce the promotion of Courtney Head to vice president of human resources. In her new role, she is responsible for recruitment, retention, employee benefits and employee health and wellness.

After joining the Hendrick human resources team 15 years ago, Head was promoted to director in 2013 and to assistant vice president in October 2020. Her other roles at Hendrick have included benefits manager and human resources recruiter.

Originally from Laredo, Head earned a bachelor’s degree at Texas Tech University and a master’s degree in human resources and industrial relations at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She also holds several human resources-related credentials, including senior professional in human resources and certified employee benefits specialist.

Head is a current board member for Communities in Schools of the Big Country (since 2017) and FaithWorks of Abilene. She also is a former board member for the Alliance for Women and Children.
