Hendrick Health promotes four individuals to executive leadership

Hendrick Health is pleased to announce the following promotions to its executive leadership team.

Mike Murphy

Hendrick Health Vice President and Chief Operating Officer

Mike Murphy was promoted to Interim Hendrick Health Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in June 2021. He joined the Hendrick team in October 2020 with the close of Project TT and served as CEO of Abilene Regional Medical Center since 2004.

Brian Bessent

Hendrick Medical Center South Chief Administrative Officer

Brian Bessent assumed the Interim Chief Administrative Officer role at HMC South in June 2021, as Mike Murphy stepped into the Interim System COO position. Bessent has worked at Hendrick for more than 21 years and most recently served as Chief Operating Officer of HMC South. Prior to the close of Project TT, he was the Vice President of Coordinated and Quality Care.

Mike Hart

Hendrick Health Vice President, Information Technology
Mr. Hart joined Hendrick in October 2020 as the Assistant Vice President of Information Technology. He has extensive experience in healthcare information technology and most recently served as Vice President of Information Technology at Arkansas Children’s Health System in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Brad Benham

Hendrick Health Vice President, Foundation
Brad Benham was promoted to Hendrick Health Vice President, Foundation in October 2021. He previously served as President of the ACU Foundation and joined the Hendrick team in June 2021.
