Hendrick welcomes new vice president and General Counsel

R. David Evans, Esq.

Hendrick Health in Abilene, Texas, recently named R. David Evans, Esq., as vice president and General Counsel. With an extensive background in healthcare law, Evans most recently served as associate chief legal officer at Sarasota Memorial Health Care System in Sarasota, Florida. Prior to his time at Sarasota Memorial Health Care System, he practiced healthcare law with firms in Florida and Tennessee.

Evans graduated magna cum laude from Wake Forest University with bachelors’ degrees in political science and in communications. He obtained his Juris Doctorate degree, with honors, from the University of Florida’s Levin College of Law, and earned a master’s degree in health services administration, with honors, from the University of Michigan.

Evans is an active member of the American Health Care Lawyers Association.
