Hendrick shows appreciation to nurses with special events during National Nurses Week

Each year during National Nurses Week, Hendrick Health spends time focusing on its nurses and the ways they work to save lives and improve the health of patients. The more than 1,300 nurses are being treated to special events and recognition throughout the week, May 6 - 11.

"Without our nurses, our patients would not receive the quality of care they deserve," said Missy Lewis, nurse recruitment at Hendrick Health.

Relaxing hand massages, fun photo booths and special coffees from "IV Drip Coffee and Beverage House" are a few of the activities planned. The Nurse Manager of the Year will be named at the annual Nurse Leadership Luncheon. 

National Nurses Week will end on Florence Nightingale's birthday, Sunday, May 12.
