Hendrick honors Michele Simmons as 2019 Nurse Manager of the Year

Michele Simmons, MSN, RN, CNML, was recently recognized as Hendrick Health's Nurse Manager of the Year. Simmons first knew she wanted to become a nurse when she was only three years old. And at age 14, she began her nursing career as a nurse aide. Simmons continued her education, receiving her LVN and RN licenses, as well as earning a bachelor’s of science in nursing and a master’s degree in nursing with a focus in Leadership.
Simmons began her career at Hendrick as a staff nurse and currently serves as a nurse manager in the Emergency Department.The award recipient is chosen by nurse leadership.
