Hendrick Medical Center is pleased to welcome Annie Drachenberg, MD, back to Abilene to practice family medicine. An Abilene Christian University alumna, Dr. Drachenberg received her medical degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston and completed her residency in family and community medicine through the Memorial Family Medicine Residency Program at Memorial Hermann in Houston.
“With the current complicated medical system, I believe that high quality primary care is still the key to guiding patients through the system to better health, utilizing the knowledge of current medical technology as well as common sense medical practices,” said Dr. Drachenberg.
Dr. Drachenberg is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Texas Academy of Family Physicians, the Texas Medical Association and the Big Country Medical Society. She comes to Abilene from Lumberton, Texas, where she was awarded “Best Doctor of the Year for 2017” by The Lumberton Ledger.
It has long been her dream to follow in the footsteps of her “hero,” the local family doctor in the small town where she grew up. She is thrilled be in Abilene, the town where she spent her college years, met her husband and now hopes to serve alongside a community dedicated to helping others.
