Gifts and Entertainment Policy for Employed Providers

  • Cannot accept Gift Cards or Cash gifts.
  • Cannot exceed the annual cap of $150.00 per employee/per year.
  • Must make sure that all vendors who visit the clinics are cleared through the Vendor Credentialing System.

Professional Courtesy Discount
Hendrick Medical Center provides standard discounts on patient accounts to specific groups of individuals. In addition, discounts may be provided as a courtesy to the patient under special circumstances. The discounts are applied only to the patient’s share of the bill, after all applicable insurance payments.

  • Physicians - No special discounts are available for this group.
  • Providers are unable to provide discounts to Hendrick employees.
  • Obstetrical Discounts - Hendrick offers a fixed fee schedule for self-pay patients.
  • Promotional Discounts - In the event a department provides free or discounted services to the community for promotional reasons, the balance is discounted after proper approval from the department is received.
