About David

David Carlson, MD, attended medical school at Indiana University in Indianapolis and became interested in cardiac surgery, having rotated with cardiac surgeons in Indianapolis, Philadelphia and Hershey, Pennsylvania. After his general surgical residency at The University of Alabama in Birmingham, Dr. Carlson completed a cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. 

Dr. Carlson specializes in surgical procedures on the heart, lung and other thoracic organs to treat conditions like heart disease and congenital defects.
